TAG

Boost tunnel safety and energy efficiency

Description

TAG takes advantage of the latest innovations to offer a compact, lightweight, easy-to-install, versatile and powerful tunnel lighting solution. Its flat and robust mechanical design minimises mounting constraints and ensures that the optical units occupy little space on the tunnel ceiling.
Available in two sizes, TAG improves the visual experience and boosts tunnel safety for drivers, while fully complying with the most stringent standards.
This tunnel luminaire has a low carbon footprint thanks to its compact design made of recyclable materials and its reduced energy consumption. TAG offers a complete tunnel solution that includes robust luminaires, smart cabling, various lighting distributions and advanced control systems to provide major operational benefits.

  • The safest tunnels
  • Driver safety is of utmost importance in tunnels. Accidents can rapidly become dangerous for everyone and can ultimately lead to a tunnel evacuation. This is why a well-lit tunnel minimises the risk of accidents and critical incidents; it increases visibility and enables drivers to detect a potential danger and react in due time to guarantee a safe stopping distance. It helps increase tunnel safety, as it complies with the most stringent standards.

  • Easy to install
  • TAG is composed of an optical unit and a separate gear box. With a lightweight body, a versatile mounting system and integrated quick-on connectors, it provides a flexible and easy mounting with a real plug-and-play philosophy. Several optical units can be connected to the same gear box.

  • Improved visual experience
  • This LED tunnel luminaire has been designed to enable the human eye to easily adapt when entering and exiting a tunnel. These zones need a constant adaptation of the lighting level to ensure a smooth transition in and out of the tunnel. TAG offers this flexibility to always deliver the appropriate lighting level.

  • Long lasting performance
  • This high-power LED solution is ideal to replace HID luminaires, especially in the entrance and exit zones of the tunnel. Designed for long lasting performance, TAG is available with a wide range of lighting distributions to suit numerous tunnel configurations. Thanks to its design with two separate electronic circuits, each TAG luminaire can be either dimmed completely, partially or even have 50% of its LEDs switched off. This ability increases energy savings and extends the lifetime of the complete installation.

OMNIBOX, ready for all challenges

The OMNIBOX is a separate driver box and the optical units can be easily connected with preassembled fire resistant cables to facilitate both installation and access for maintenance operations. One OMNIBOX can host the drivers and control unit (Lumgate) for up to 3 TAG luminaires.

Installation and Maintenance

Installation of optical units and gear box

This tunnel lighting solution consists of two main parts: the optical unit and the gear box. The optical unit of TAG offers 5 types of brackets, fixed, adjustable or swivelling, in stainless steel or galvanised steel. This mounting modularity allows TAG to meet a large type of tunnel configurations.
Equipped with quick-on connectors, up to 3 TAG luminaires can be powered by the same gear box.

Accessories and versions

Fixed brackets

The fixed brackets allow standard mounting on flat surfaces, whether it is on walls or ceilings.

Pull-out brackets – suspended and wall

The pull-out fixation brackets facilitate the installation on walls and ceilings while the fixation consists of eliminating any luminaire weight constraints. The luminaire inclination can be easily adjusted to preset values varying from -20 to +20°.

Adjustable brackets – suspended and wall

The adjustable fixation brackets provide a flexible mounting for both walls and ceilings as they are capable of adapting to any tunnel configuration. The adjustable brackets enable slight shifts to the left or to the right in combination with a gradual inclination to deliver the ideal lighting for your tunnel.
