Innovative Lighting for a High-End Aquatic Center
Finished in January 2021, this high-end aquatic facility was designed to provide both functional and aesthetic excellence. The project features a dedicated training pool and a recreational pool, with a strong focus on creating a comfortable and visually appealing environment for swimmers.
Indirect Lighting for Optimal Comfort
To prevent discomfort caused by direct light reflections on the water’s surface, the project designers (CIMA +) opted for an indirect lighting solution. They selected the OMNISTAR 2258, known for its ability to meet high lighting standards while maintaining a glare-free experience. By directing light toward the ceiling and reflecting it off a white surface, the OMNISTAR ensures uniform illumination without disturbing swimmers.
Additionally, the OMNISTAR utilizes diagonal reflectors to maximize efficiency and is IP66-rated, providing excellent protection against water and dust. Its anodized aluminum construction enhances resistance to harsh chemicals such as chlorine, ensuring durability in the humid and chemically treated pool environment.
To further enhance longevity and simplify maintenance, the project leveraged the OMNISTAR’s remote driver capability, positioning the drivers 50 meters away in the basement to prevent chlorine exposure and allow easy access for servicing.
Efficient Outdoor Lighting
Beyond the pools, the project also prioritized well-lit and aesthetically pleasing parking areas. The TECEO luminaire, paired with the ITO bracket, was chosen to provide a seamless blend of design and efficiency. With a lumen output ranging from 1,500 to 45,000 lumens, the TECEO ensures excellent visibility and safety while maintaining a modern and refined appearance.
Schréder’s versatile range of brackets further enhances the adaptability of the TECEO, making it a perfect fit for the project’s lighting requirements.
